EcoFlow Launches “Power For Rescues” Program to Enhance Rescue Efforts and Disaster Preparedness

This initiative is part of the company’s broader corporate social responsibility effort, “EcoFlow Power For All.” The goal of this program is to supply dependable, adaptable, and clean energy to areas impacted by disasters and to support rescue organizations globally. It also emphasizes the importance of disaster preparedness and rescue training to help protect more lives.
According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the frequency of extreme weather events has increased fivefold over the past 50 years. In response to this growing threat, ensuring a reliable power supply for rescue operations, disaster recovery efforts, and the training of rescue personnel is critical for safeguarding lives.

Providing Reliable Power During Rescue Emergencies
During the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake in Japan, EcoFlow donated 76 portable power stations, 17 solar panels, power banks, and disaster preparedness kits to nonprofit organizations and companies in Nanao, Komatsu, and Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture. These resources were used in local shelters, providing emergency power to 40,000 affected individuals.
Similarly, during the 2024 floods in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Estrela Hospital, which was receiving critically ill patients from surrounding areas, faced frequent power outages that jeopardized patient safety. In response, EcoFlow donated portable power stations to the hospital to ensure the continuous operation of medical equipment and medication storage, thus safeguarding patients’ lives.
Emphasizing Daily Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Training
Daily disaster preparedness is another key focus of the EcoFlow Power For Rescues program. For example, EcoFlow installed portable power stations and solar panels at tsunami evacuation towers in Isumi City, Japan. These stations provide emergency power during outages caused by disasters, ensuring evacuees have access to electricity. The program also donated portable power stations to 10 rescue teams within China’s Blue Sky Rescue Team and Dawn Rescue Alliance, addressing power challenges during rescue missions.
Additionally, the Power for Rescues program has collaborated with St John Ambulance Cymru in Wales for a 12-month initiative, organizing 67 demonstration and awareness training sessions in schools and community groups across north, south, and west Wales. This project aims to provide professional rescue training to 1,000 people, enhancing community safety and fostering the development of professional rescue personnel.
